Jerry Lee Edwards

Mr. Jerry Lee Edwards, 54, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday night June 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Edwards was born in Forsyth County on May 7, 1965 to Mrs. Peggy Galyean Edwards and the late Lancy Landon Edwards.  He was a loving husband, father, son and friend who will be dearly missed.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Laura Murphy Edwards; a daughter, Emma Grace Edwards; son, Jared Blake Edwards; his mother, Peggy Galyean Edwards; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Rhonda Edwards; and his special companion, Harley.  In addition to his father, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy “Thump” Lance Edwards.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Johnny Easter, Rev. Mark Sumner and Chaplin Robin Sides. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery behind the church. Military Honors will be provided by VFW post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for the service at Antioch Baptist Church.  The family wishes to send a special thank you to Jerry and Lesa Samuels; Leon and Louise Engel and numerous other close friends.
