Jerry Monroe Edwards

Mr. Jerry Monroe Edwards, 65, of Cana, VA, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Edwards was born November 17, 1957, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Ruben and Leota Tate Edwards .  Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Julie Frye (Johnny), Crystal Guynn (John), Vanessa Vaught (Kenneth), and Kimberly Sizemore (Jeremiah); his son, Joshua Edwards (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Megan, and Jackson Guynn, Ithaca, Willow, Ireland, and Milady Vaught, Paisley, and Jordyn Edwards, and Kelee, Ray, Virgil, and Mason Sizemore; his sisters, Barbara Jo McMillan and Linda Goins; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Johnson and Paul King; and his special friends, Frances Reece and Mona Howard.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lea King and Nancy Edwards Johnson; his brother, Clinton Edwards; and his brother-in-law, Michael Goins.  The funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Bro. Chad Crotts, Pastor Scotty Maxfield, and the Rev. Albert Everidge officiating.  Burial will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
