Mr. Jerry Franklin Snow, 65, of Dobson, passed away early Friday morning, June 7, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Snow was born March 23, 1959, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Clyde Olin and Margaret Arlene Johnson Snow. Jerry was a lifelong tobacco and cattle farmer and a member of Double Creek Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing at the coast, watching Westerns and the Hallmark channel, and was an avid Duke Blue Devils fan. More importantly, he loved his family, and his family loved him, as he was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. Jerry served his community as a volunteer fireman with South Surry Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Martin Snow; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Dale Hardy; his nieces and nephews, Joshua and Michele Hardy and Sarah, Justin, and Noah Sharpe; his mother-in-law, Viola Scott Martin; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Becky Martin; a sister-in-law, Kathy Martin; and his nieces and nephews from the Martin side of the family, Josh Martin, Hannah Martin, Jenna and Jay Levins, Blake and Michelle Collins, and Lindsey and Adam Browder. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snow was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Clyde Snow; and his father-in-law, Bobby Leon Martin. A service of worship and celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ, with the Rev. John Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, c/o Joyce Hardy, 646 Double Creek Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
