Jesse Lee Fulk, Jr

Mr. Jesse Lee “Junior” Fulk, Jr., 88, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Fulk was born June 29, 1927, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Jesse Lee Fulk, Sr. and Lura Puckett Fulk. Junior was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II, a retired farmer, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Marie Fulk of Mooresville; a son, Ronnie Lee Fulk of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Travis Lee Fulk and April Jo Fulk; and four great-grandchildren, Maddux Fulk, McCoy Fulk, Tyra Galloway, and Trey Galloway. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fulk was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Cook Fulk. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Lee Johnson officiating. Military honors will also be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 1:00 PM until the time to depart to the cemetery for the service.
