Jessie Lee Sowers Puckett

Mrs. Jessie Lee Sowers Puckett, age 78, of Lowgap, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. She was born in Carroll County Virginia, on August 21, 1943, to the late Cana and Sena Worrell Sowers. Mrs. Puckett was retired from NC Foam. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are daughters and son-in-law, Agatha Hertz, Vickie and Danny Poindexter; son and daughter-in-law, Claude and Pamela Puckett, grandchildren, Jimmy Trivette, Kasey Puckett, Heather Whitaker (Cody), Morgan Bradley, Mary Brown (Casey), Mallory Klotzle (Nick); great-grandchildren, Tristan Trivette, Abigail Poindexter, Emory Puckett, Paxton McDaniel, Maclaren Bradley, Ethan Brown and Isaac Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joann Combs (Lavern), Nora Alice Martin (Bedford); brother and sisters-in-law, Nelson Sowers (Hortense), Ann Sowers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Puckett, Bruce and Peggy Puckett. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Puckett; sister, Normie Sowers; brother, Manuel Sowers. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Woody Flippen. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Blue Ridge Baptist Cemetery Fund, 3581 Pine Ridge Rd, Lowgap, NC 27024.
