Jessie Louis Barr

Mr. Jessie Louis Barr, 73, of 26 Barr Lane, Hillsville, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at his home. Mr. Barr was born March 1, 1934, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Elmer Johnson and Fannie Etta Quesinberry Barr. He served our country in the United States Army and was retired from the James Willis Dairy Farm. He is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gaynell and Alfred Thompson of Hillsville, VA, Bula and Hurley Hawks of Galax, VA, and Margaret Bowman of Ararat, VA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Vernie and Mildred Barr of Hillsville, VA, and Rudolph Barr of Galax, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Lee Bollhorst of Hillsville, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barr was preceded in death by a sister and seven brothers. A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 29, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Bluemont Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Terry McMillian and the Rev. Randell Quesinberry. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home.
