Jessie Marie (Hawks) Eaton

Mrs. Jessie Marie Hawks Eaton, age 94 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday morning, July 1, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy.  Mrs. Eaton was born on February 27, 1928, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Troy and Mayme Irene Stantliff Hawks.  Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law, Linda Bedsaul; two grandsons, Roger Lee Bedsaul, Jr. and wife Heather, Christopher Bedsaul and wife Maria; four great-granddaughters: Sydney Bedsaul Romine and husband Andrew, Abby Bedsaul Smithson and husband Noah, Annmarie Bedsaul, Kristen Bedsaul; one sister, Pat Hawks Collins; special niece, Karen Woods; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Nancy and Larry Young and Jean Browder; and her favorite dog, Bo.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Henry Eaton; a son Roger Lee Bedsaul, Sr.; three sisters, Jenny Hawks Bobbitt, Faye Hawks Stoneman, Shirley Hawks; three brothers, Ray Hawks, Ralph Hawks, Donald Hawks.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Schuyler officiating.  Burial to follow in the Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ararat, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
