Jessie Lillian Key Wagoner

Mrs. Jessie Lillian Key Wagoner age 91 of 1778 Inglebrook Trail, Mount Airy, widow of Marvin William Wagoner passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Wagoner was born in Surry County on July 22, 1915 daughter of the late John Samuel Key and Maude Creed Key. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Belk Department Store. Surviving are a daughter, Jewel W. McHone of Mount Airy; two grandsons, Jon M. Carter of Mount Airy and Mark S. Carter of Richmond, VA; one great-grandson, Jonathan J. Carter of Greensboro and a brother and sister-in-law, Ray E. and Lorene Key of Dobson. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wagoner was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene K. Scott and Blanche K. Pruett. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Roland McCraw. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until time to depart to the cemetery.
