Jewell Faye Leonard

Miss Jewell Faye Leonard, 65, of 281 Mountain View Road, Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Miss Leonard was born September 30, 1942, in Carroll County, VA, the first of three children born to Arthur and Blanche Berrier Leonard. She was a seamstress at Cross Creek Apparel for 22 years. She is survived by her mother, Blanche Berrier Leonard of Cana, VA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Eugene Goad of Cana, VA, and Carol and Lester Snow of Toast; a niece, Valerie Goad of Cana, VA; and a nephew, John Snow of Dobson. Miss Leonard was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Leonard. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Leonard Family Cemetery, with Dr. Victor S. Lyons officiating. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home.
