Jill Renee Boyea Leonard

Mrs. Jill Renee Boyea Leonard, 53, of Dobson, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Jill was born September 23, 1962, in Chippewa Falls, WI, to Shirley Foiles Boyea and the late Dale Boyea. She was employed with the Surry County Finance Department and was an active member of Dobson United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Byron Leonard of the home; sons, Kaden and Cole Leonard, both of the home; her mother, Shirley Foiles Boyea of Caddot, WI; two sisters, Kim King of Caddot and Mickie Hughes of Stanley, WI; a brother, Kevin Boyea of Caddot; and best friend and soul sister, Amy Guyer of Elkin. Jill was a beautiful person, with a beautiful heart, and a beautiful soul, and was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. A memorial service will be held at Dobson United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 7:00 PM, with the service being conducted by the Rev. Harry Sammons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dobson United Methodist Church in Jill’s memory at P.O. Box 497, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
