Jimmie Johnson

Mr. Jimmie Johnson, age 83, passed away at Joan and Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson on Friday, July 19, 2024 due to cancer and vascular dementia. His family was by his side when he passed. Jimmie was born on January 17, 1941 in Mount Airy, NC. He was the son of Lacy and Lola Johnson. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Judy; his sister, Sandra; his two children, Blake and Claire; as well as one niece, Wendy; one nephew, Sam; and four grandchildren. Jimmie was a proud long-haul truck driver who had visited every state in the continental U.S. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and NASCAR, as well as an enthusiastic coin and stamp collector. The Johnson family wishes to thank the staff at Woltz Hospice Home for their professional and empathetic care of Jimmie in his final hours. A service will be held at a later date for Mr. Johnson.
