Jimmy Walter Barneycastle

Mr. Jimmy Walter Barneycastle, 70, of Dobson, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Surry County on April 21, 1937 to the late Coy Lee and Mary Lee Carter Barneycastle. Mr. Barneycastle was a retired farmer and a member of New Grace Baptist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Mozelle Bledsoe of Dobson and Mary Jane Key of Mt. Airy; three brothers, Johnny Barneycastle of Mt. Airy, Calvin Barneycastle of Siloam and Robert Eugene Barneycastle of High Point. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barneycastle was preceded in death by two brothers, C.L. and Sanford Shady Barneycastle. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at New Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Raleigh Burnett and Rev. Tim Crotts officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at New Grace Baptist Church, Highway 268. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Barneycastle family.
