Jimmy Dale Flippen

Mr. Jimmy Dale Flippen Age 64 of 1248 Sparger Rd. Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Flippen was born January 11, 1948 in Surry County to the late Elder Samuel M. Flippen and Virginia Elizabeth Southern Flippen, he was self employed in Heat and Air Conditioning and the Plumbing field and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are three daughters Robin Flippen of Mt. Airy, Lisa Martin Rico of Cana and Lisa Wolfe of Galax, four sons and daughters-in-law Travis and Lisa Flippen, Timothy and Chrystal Peele and Shane and Kim Flippen all of Mt. Airy and Scottie and Penny Wolfe of Lowgap, a special daughter Judy Breeden of the home, nineteen grandchildren, Eleven great grandchildren, two sisters and brother-in-law Lucille and Rev. Blain Oakley of Mt. Airy and Barbara Johnson of Goldsboro, three brothers and sisters-in-law Rev. James Woodrow (Woody) and Judy Flippen of Lowgap, Russell and Rita Flippen of Winston Salem and Jerry and Joyce Flippen of Sparta. In addition to his parents Mr. Flippen was preceded in death by a nephew Sammy Flippen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM the Laurel Springs Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Woody Flippen, Rev. Blain Oakley and Mr. Travis Flippen, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night 6 to 9 P.M. at Laurel Springs Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to Shelley, Jana and Justin with Mountain Valley Hospice and special friends Roberta and Doug Breeden. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to assist the Flippen family with the funeral expenses.
