Jimmy Gray France

Mr. Jimmy Gray France, 86, of Mt. Airy, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, Saturday, October 16, 2021. He was born in Surry County, March 30, 1935, to the late Aaron Thomas and Lucy Ella Ledford France. Mr. France was a devoted Christian man. He loved and enjoyed fellowship with his church family at New Charity Baptist Church. Mr. France retired after 30 years of service with Pepsi-Cola. He was a kind, caring man, quick witted and liked to have fun with family and friends, many times creating fun nick names that he felt suited them. Mr. France was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife, Joanette Lawson France; his daughters and son-in-law, Deborah France, Cathy and Paul Eubanks, son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Paula France; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Kelly McCrary, Nick and Danielle McCrary, Hannah Ashburn, Aaron and Brittany Eubanks, Alex Eubanks, Corey France, and Tyler France; great grandchildren, Jackson, Sara, Larkin, and Evie; a special sister-in-law, Janis Danley; a special family friend, and someone dear to his heart, Jeff Tate. In addition to his family, Mr. France was preceded in death by his sisters, Alma Lee Marion, Eva Mae Utt; brothers, Cecil D., Fred Ray, and Billy Joe France. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hank Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to New Charity Baptist Church, P.O.
