Jimmy Wade Galyean, Jr

Mr. Jimmy Wade Galyean, Jr., 19, of 1504 Slate Mountain Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, December 11, 2010. He was born April 17, 1991, in Surry County, to Jimmy Wade Galyean, Sr. and Robbyn Akers Galyean Horton. He was employed at McDonald's in Pilot Mountain. Surviving are his father, Jimmy Wade Galyean, Sr. of the home; his mother, Robbyn Akers Galyean Horton of Mount Airy; a brother, Travis Galyean of the home; a half-sister, Stephanie Horton of Mount Airy; two half-brothers, Robert Horton and Bradley Horton, both of Mount Airy; his grandparents, Connie and William Galyean of Mount Airy and Mr. and Mrs. William Akers of Galax, VA; an aunt and uncle, Robin and Mike King of Mount Airy; and an uncle and aunt, Terry and Ashley Galyean of Cana, VA. Mr. Galyean was preceded in death by an aunt, Marie Messenger. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James Jones and Brother Don Collins officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
