Jimmy "Jim" Haynes

Mr. Jimmy "Jim" Haynes age 82 of Wards Gap Rd. Cana, VA. passed away Friday December 14, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Haynes was born October 6, 1930 in Surry County to the late Garfield and Ester Hiatt Haynes, he was employed by Leonard Aluminum Company and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Irene McMillian Haynes of the home, one daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Kevin Marion of Mt. Airy, two sons and daughter-in-law Gary Lane Haynes, Sr. and Darryl and Wendy Haynes all of Cana, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters May Haynes and Ilar McMillian both of Cana and two brothers Bryant Haynes Fieldale, VA and Herbert Haynes of Cana. In addition to his parents Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by one sister Myrtle Ayers and by a daughter-in-law Linda Haynes. Funeral services will be held Sunday December 16, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Israel Gwyn and Rev. Louis Martin with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy will be assisting the Haynes Family.
