Mr. Jimmy Ray Lawson age 64 of 1371 Bradley Road, Pinnacle, NC husband of Mrs. Barbara Coley Lawson passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 18, 2007 at his home. He was born May 13, 1943 in Surry County, NC to the late James Foster and Dorothy Bingman Lawson. He was a self employed brick mason and attended The Community Church. Surviving are his wife, Barbara C. Lawson of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jeff Spencer, Mt. Airy, NC, three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Lynn Lawson, Johnny and Martha Lawson all of King, NC, Jerry and Karen Lawson, Mt. Airy, NC, two step daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Norm Riggs, Clemmons, NC, Rebecca and Paul Roberts, Lenoir, NC, a step son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Anita Thomas, King, NC, 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and R.B. Bottoms, Pilot Mountain, NC, Glenda and John Brooks, Rhonda, NC, Patricia and Ray Gentry, Westfield, NC, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Norma Lawson, Gary and Wanda Lawson all of Pilot Mountain, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2007 at The Community Church conducted by Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Ray Hutson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 PM Friday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
