Jimmy Gray Leftwich

Mr. Jimmy Gray Leftwich, 63, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin.  Mr. Leftwich was born in Forsyth County on August 28, 1956 to Imogene Leftwich Simmons.  He was a cook at John Boys BBQ & Dairy Bar Inc. in Elkin.  In addition to his mother Mr. Leftwich is survived by daughters, Tracy Leftwich, and Brandy Leftwich; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Gray Leftwich, Jr. and Patricia; grandchildren, Jimmy Gray Leftwich, III, Ashley Leftwich, Gavin Leftwich, Dallas Mau; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Vaughn and Kenneth, Anita Davis, and Lisa Hobernicht; many nieces and nephews.  Mr. Leftwich was preceded in death by his step father Bobby Simmons; a brother, Donald Gray Leftwich; brother-in-law, Wayne Davis.  A graveside service will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Dowell Grove Family Cemetery with the Rev. Darold Adams officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
