Jimmy Gale Morrison

Mr. Jimmy Gale Morrison, age 59 of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Mr. Morrison was born in Surry County, March 29, 1949 to James Eddie Morrison and the late Bessie Lillie Gammons Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a former supervisor for Cross Creek Apparel. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Torres Morrison of the home; daughters and spouses, Tina Marie Morrison and Jamie Gray Draughn of Mt. Airy, Derina Dee and Kevin Brent Pyles of Winston Salem and Celena Mechele Morrison of the home; a son and spouse, David Phillip and Jennifer Bishop of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, Carmen Grace Smith, Kage Brent Pyles, Myra Grayce Bishop, Kaleah Dee Pyles, McKenna Rayne Bishop and Krista Marie Morrison on the way; two step grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Caruthers; his father and step mother, James Eddie and Rosetta Morrison of Pilot Mountain; a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Wayne Sawyers of Lake Norman and a special dog, Boo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday May 18, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Will Randolph. Burial will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 123. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
