Jimmy Dale Sexton

Mr. Jimmy Dale Sexton, 48, of 442 Siloam Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Sexton was born June 28, 1963, in Surry County, the son of Opal Sawyers Sexton and the late William Herbert Sexton, Sr. Jimmy was a brick mason. He is survived by a daughter, Crystal Sexton Pack of Lambsburg, VA; a granddaughter, Christina Marie Pack of Lambsburg, VA; his mother, Opal Sawyers Sexton of Mount Airy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cindy and Danny Norman of Pilot Mountain and Penny Wall and Tim Childress of Mount Airy; two brothers, William Herbert Sexton, Jr. of Ararat and Mark Wall of Pilot Mountain; several special nieces and nephews; several special cousins; and special friends, Claudine, Danny, Tina, Barbara, Brandon, and Robert. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Gary Sawyers and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery in Ararat. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
