Jo Ann Stanley

Ms. Jo Ann Gwyn Stanley, age 77, of Dobson, NC passed away on Tuesday evening December 1. 2020 at Dunmore Plantation.  She was born in Surry County on December 11, 1942, to the late Buster Ed Gwyn and the late Ettamae Flossie Gordon McCraw.  In addition to her parents she was preceded by her step father Arnold McCraw; daughter Patricia Ann Stanley; sister, Carolyn Williams; brother Harold Wade McCraw.  Surviving is her daughter, Judy Gail Stanley and Dewey Wilson; sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny Lee Stanley and Donna Newman, Donald Wayne and Sherry Stanley, Jeffery Dean “Beaver” and Ann Stanley; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Smith and Clyde David Smith; brother, Harold Wade McCraw; her dog, Rebel.  The family would like to give  a special thanks to the staff at Dunmore Plantation (All her adopted grandkids) for the love and care given to their mom.  There will be no services held at the funeral home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Stanley family.
