JoAnn Simpson

Miss JoAnn Simpson, age 69, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Thursday June 7, 2018 at the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville, NC.  She was born in Surry County on January 11, 1949 to the late Chester Simpson and the late Mallie Bledsoe Simpson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Faye Taylor and Katie Haynes; one brother Jack Simpson.  She was a member of New Home Church of Christ.  Surviving are her sister, Joyce Watson Cave of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Betty Simpson of Dobson; brother-in-law, Bobby Haynes of State Road; three nieces, Von McCoy, Kim Payne, Sandra Hudson; two nephews, Greg Watson, Mike Simpson.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday June 10, 2018 in the chapel of New Home Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Brother Tim Smith will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at New Home Church of Christ on Sunday one hour before the service.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Home 243 N Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Simpson family.
