JoAnn Evans Van Horn

Mrs. JoAnn Evans Van Horn, age 78, of Dobson, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 25, 1942 in Burke County to the late Lawrence Earl Evans and the late Eva Genelia Martin Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny Max Van Horn. Mrs. Van Horn worked alongside her husband at Van Horn Seafood Restaurant and was a retired respiratory therapist. Left to cherish her memory are her son Desmond Howard Van Horn and his fiancé, Patricia Marr; her son and daughter-in-law, Evan Deryk and Marcella Van Horn; grandchildren, Kelly, Elizabeth, Luke and Ethan; and great grandchild, Thea. There will be no formal service held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Van Horn Family.
