John Timothy DePrisco, Sr.

Mr. John Timothy “Tim” DePrisco, Sr., 63, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday night, August 10, 2023, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mr. DePrisco was born May 10, 1960, in Surry County, the son of the late Lura Nichols Brintle.  Tim was a self-employed plumber for many years.  He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John Timothy DePrisco, Jr. and Holly DePrisco; a grandson, Brody Corbin DePrisco; two sisters, Hattie Lura Brintle and Martha Jo Brintle; a brother, Lincoln Grady Brintle; a special uncle, James David “Jimmy” Nichols; an aunt, Martha McGuire; and two uncles, George Nichols and Robert “Bob” Nichols.  In addition to his mother, Mr. DePrisco was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter Woodrow and Margaret Sumner Nichols; and two uncles, Johnny Nichols and Walter Woodrow “Pete” Nichols, Jr.  At Tim’s request, no formal visitation or memorial service will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
