John Calhoun Dickenson, Sr

Mr. John Calhoun Dickenson, Sr. of Mt. Airy passed away May 14, 2007 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Dickenson was born February 26, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late John Don and Emma Comer Dickenson. He was a retired industrial engineer and a member of Central United Methodist Church. He had a way of making anyone whose life he touched feel special. Mr. Dickenson is survived by his wife Patricia "Pat" Dickenson; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen Gimbert and husband Chad of Oak Ridge, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, John Dickenson, Jr and wife Michele of Pinnacle; grandchildren, Whitney Gimbert, Julie Gimbert, John Dickenson III, Hayden Dickenson; brother and sister-in-law, Joe Don Dickenson and wife Pam of Galax, VA; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy by Rev. Kent Wise with burial to follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
