John Allan Green

Mr. John Allan Green, 82 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Wednesday night, April 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Green was born in Beaver, WV on October 20, 1935 to the late Londa Elbert Green and Edna A. Ennis Green.  Mr. Green retired from Simmons Nissan after many years of service.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Deloris “Lois” Reed Green; a daughter, Brenda Green; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Barbara Green; three grandchildren, Matthew Green, Nicholas Buckland, and Patrick Buckland; a great-grandchild, PJ Buckland; two brothers and sisters-in-law,  Londa and Phyllis Green and Douglas and Carol Green; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Cole and Oretha Hancock.  The family would like to extend a thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice, a special niece, Tammy Sydenstricker and Pastors Jim and Judy Vaught for all of the love and care shown to John during his illness.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God, PO Box 1875, Mount Airy, NC 27030.  There will not be any formal services for Mr. Green at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Service is respectfully assisting the Green family.
