John "Henry" Sisk

Mr. John “Henry” Sisk, age 83 of Mount Airy passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home. Mr. Sisk was born in Patrick County on October 29, 1937 to the late Charlie and Marie Lawson Sisk. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Karen Sisk Walker and Frank; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Patty Poland and Randy, Missy Tilden and Carl; grandchildren, Adam Talbert and Stacy, Christopher Tilden and Danielle, Dustin Tilden and Amber; sisters and brother-in-law, Lilla Sisk Gray and Billy Jack, Barbara Sisk Heath; a brother, William Sisk; and a niece, Susan Sisk along with other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Owens Sisk, his second wife, Julie Snyder Sisk; a granddaughter, Sarah Frances Talbert; a brother, Charles Sisk and a brother-in-law, Harvey Heath. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Larry Phillips officiating. Mr. Sisk will lie-in-state on Thursday, October 21,2021 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
