Mr. Johnnie Combs Age 76 201 Rocky Ford Ch. Rd. Cana VA. husband of Mrs. Geraldine Pike Combs passed away Thursday May 31, 2007 at his home. Mr. Combs was born October 17, 1930 in Carroll County to the late Noah and Rachel Easter Combs, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from Proctor Silex and was a member of Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Geraldine Pike Combs of the home, one daughter Sharon Annette Rippey of Cana, three sons and daughters-in-law Timothy Mitchell and Amy Combs of Mt. Airy, Aubrey Wade Combs and Barry Wayne and Nita Combs all of Cana, eight grandchildren Chris Rippey, Jessica Edwards, Samantha Rippey, Jonathan Rippey, Justin Combs, Amanda Combs, Eli Combs and Abby Combs, three great grandchildren Kaitlyn Edwards, Isaac Rippey and Brady Tate. In addition to his parents Mr. Combs was preceded in death by a son Gregory Eugene Combs by two brothers David Combs and Porter Combs and by thirteen half sisters and half-brothers. A graveside service will be held Saturday June 2, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with services conducted by Pastor Syreda Bryant and Rev. Timothy Welsh. The family will receive friends Friday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
