Mr. Johnny Robert Snow, 54, of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Mr. Snow was born in Surry County, October 10, 1955, to the late James Robert and Cassie Mae Venable Snow. He was a dump truck operator and greatly enjoyed working with his horses. Mr. Snow is survived by his wife, Deborah Doss Snow; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Lynn Snow and Rodney Hall and Elizabeth Hope Snow; two grandchildren, Katlyn Elizabeth Hall and Carson Dean Hall; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Jack Haymore, Betty and Ken Martin, Eva and Craig Southern, and Frances and Dennis Collins; and a brother and sister-in-law, James Lee and Mary Kaye Snow. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snow was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Ray Snow and Kenny Snow; a nephew, David Snow; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dosier Venable; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Snow. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, by Brother Tim Smith and the Rev. Jimmy Lawton with burial to follow in Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 894 Stony Knoll Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
