Joseph "Uncle Joe" Ambrosio, Jr

Mr. Joseph Ambrosio, Jr., age 78 of Stuart, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born on August 31, 1934 in Cold Spring Harbor, New York to the late Joseph and Mary Coronato Ambrosio. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ambrosio was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jones Ambrosio; one daughter, Pauline Ambrosio; and two brothers, Mike and Donald Ambrosio. He was a member of Harvest Worship Center, Dan River Emmaus, Patrick County SHARE, Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #263; the Stuart Lions Club, the Patrick County Food Bank, and was a volunteer with Mountain Valley Hospice.
Mr. Ambrosio is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Geri Lyn and William Noble of Lowell, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, William Noble, Jr., Amber Noble and Kayla Noble; two brothers, Frank Ambrosio of Florida and Ben Launi of New Hampshire; niece and nephew, Kevin and Paula Polacek; and special friends, Donna Girl and Ivan Thomas.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Harvest Worship Center with Pastor David Coleman and Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted by Mountain Home Lodge #263. Entombment will be held at Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 4 to 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 22099 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, Virginia 24171 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Charmaine Atkins, P.O.
