Joseph Maynard Belcher

Mr. Joseph Maynard Belcher, age 90 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab in Bassett.  He was born in Patrick County on September 28, 1933, to the late Greely and Nancy Conner Belcher.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Stella Conner, Mary Conner, Evadell Clark, Velda Smart; and three brothers, Leonard, Delmer, and John Belcher.  Maynard attended Jack’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

       Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

       A graveside service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Jack’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Terry officiating.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
