Joseph Carl "J.C." Bryant

Mr. Joseph Carl "J.C." Bryant, 73, of 308 Galloway Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at his home. Mr. Bryant was born December 23, 1934, in Surry County, son of the late Harvey Wesley and Sara Lila Felts Bryant. J.C. served our country in the United States Navy and was a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by a sister, Hester Willard of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Teresia Bryant of King; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Kathy Bryant of Mount Airy; a stepdaughter, Renata Bryant of Mount Airy; and two stepgrandchildren, Autum Martin and Samuel Martin, both of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Kathleen Tate; and a brother, Johnny Wesley Bryant. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation. The family will greet friends Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the home of Hester Willard, 312 Lovill Street, Mount Airy.
