Joseph Franklin Hawks

Mr. Joseph Franklin Hawks, 47, of Mt. Airy went home to be with his father and brother on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  He was born in Forsyth County on July 19, 1974, to Marie Boyd Hawks and the late William Franklin Hawks, Sr.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Hawks is survived by a son, Joseph Earl Hawks; a daughter, Avery Hawks; brothers, Michael Hawks, Willie Hawks, and Friel Monroe Hawks; a special aunt and uncle, Linda and Bill Boyd.  In addition to his father Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Hawks; his grandparents, Bryant and Earnestine Boyd, and Etta Hawks.  A graveside service will be held Monday, February 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Thomas officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
