Joseph Steven Haynes

Mr. Joseph Steven Haynes, age 30, of Mt. Airy, passed away, Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was born in Surry County on April 3, 1991, to Sharon Simmons Haynes and the late Steven Gray Haynes. Joseph was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was employed with Altec in Mt. Airy. Joseph became a fitness trainer and was devoted to working out at Pro-Health. In addition to his mother, Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Traci and Jimmy George, Angel Haynes, Suzanne Avara and Robert Pickens, Jodi and Blake Gunnell; nieces and nephews, Jacee Avara, Kaebyn Avara, Makadix Avara, and Kazleigh Gunnell. In addition to Joseph’s father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Haywood and Josephine Simmons, Rawley “Papa Dee” Haynes and Kathryn Dowell; and his special nephew Kesson Haynes.
