Joseph Gregory McCrary

Mr. Joseph Gregory “Greg” McCrary, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, at his home.  Mr. McCrary was born January 11, 1955, in Surry County, the son of the late Parlie Ralph and Virginia Mae Sechrest McCrary.  Greg retired as a truck driver and was a member of First Church of the Brethren.  He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Justin Gregory and Caroline McCrary of Morgantown, WV; a sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Ronnie Bowman of Ararat, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Sandra McCrary of Drexel; and two nephews, Matthew Payne of Newport News, VA, and Jarad Payne of Mount Airy.  In addition to his parents, Mr. McCrary was preceded in death by a niece, Kristie McCrary; and a nephew, Joshua Gaulding.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
