Joseph Perry Rippey

Mr. Joseph Perry Rippey, 18, of Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006. He was born March 8, 1988, in Surry County, to Eddie and Carolyn Edwards Rippey. He was a member of Paul's Creek Baptist Church and employed by Johnson Granite. Mr. Rippey is survived by his parents, Eddie and Carolyn Edwards Rippey of the home; a sister, Leanna Rippey of the home; maternal grandmother, Cora Hall Edwards of the home; his paternal grandfather, Gilmer Rippey of Cana, VA; a fiancee, Misty Newman of Cana, VA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mildred Rippey; and his maternal grandfather, Perry Edwards. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy by Rev. Larry Jones and Rev. Tim Hawks with burial to follow in the Hall Family Cemetery in Cana. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
