Joshua Jeffrey Blackburn

Mr. Joshua Jeffrey Blackburn, age 38, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Mr. Blackburn was born in Surry County on April 25, 1986, to Robert Blackburn and Gail Collins Blackburn. He was the best son a parent could ask for, a loving fiancé, dad, brother and uncle. He was a joy to be around, and had a smile that could lighten the room. Mr. Blackburn is survived by his fiancé, Ashley Ward; a daughter, Maci Grace Blackburn; sons, Ashton Ward, Cash Carroll; sister and her fiancé, Misty Nicole Blackburn and Dakota Stultz; special nieces, Shealin Nicole Stultz, Madilyn Rosaleigh Stultz; special nephew, Kayden Dale Stultz; aunts and uncles, Jimmy Roberts and Sandy, Lee Johnson and Cathy, Bobby Hice and Kelly, Pamela Collins. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 2 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the funeral home from 1 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Harrold Family Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Blackburn family.
