Joshua Bradley Hawks

Mr. Joshua Bradley "Josh" Hawks, 28, of 196 Watershed Road, Lowgap, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010. He was born July 20, 1981, in Forsyth County, to Charles Clyde and Diane Johnson Hawks. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Mercedes Brianna Hawks of Mount Airy; a son, Josh Blake Hawks of Mount Airy; his parents, Charles Clyde and Diane Johnson Hawks of Lowgap; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Christopher Lowe of Lowgap; a brother, Jamie Hawks of Lowgap; two nephews, Dakota Lowe of Lowgap and Logan Hawks-Muncy of Bland, VA; his grandparents, Orene Hawks of Lowgap, Sylvia and Arlis Williams of Thurmond, and Bert and Anita Johnson of Burnsville, MN; and a great grandmother, Ethel Hawks Cave of Lowgap; and a great grandfather, Van Pierce of Wilmington. Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by his grandfather, Junior Clyde "Blackie" Hawks. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Elder V.J. Hawks and Elder Arwood "Woody" Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
