Josie Marie Edwards Crotts

Mrs. Josie Marie Edwards Crotts, 74, of 197 Fence Road, Cana, VA, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born March 29, 1936, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Friel and Hester Walters Edwards. She retired from Proctor-Silex Inc. and was a member of Fellowship Tabernacle. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Aaron Rupert Crotts of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Roger Easter, Linda and Darrell Lovill, and Judy and Johnny Hawks, all of Cana, VA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edgar and Kathy Crotts and Ricky Crotts, all of Cana, VA; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Gracie and Marlie Jones of Cana, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Rush and Linda Mae Edwards of Cana, VA; a special niece, June Payne of Cana, VA; and many other special nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crotts was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Crotts and Irene Cagle; two brothers, Otis Edwards and Jim Edwards; three half-sisters, Litha Hawks, Bessie Tate, and Bell Woods; and a half-brother, Greeley Edwards. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Donlad Bryant and the Rev. Joe Pyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Crotts Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the church.
