Josie Louise Guynn King

Mrs. Josie Louise Guynn King, age 81 of Winston Salem, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013 at her home. Mrs. King was born in Carroll County on August 26, 1932 to Edgar and Gladys McMillian Guynn. Surviving are her husband Wiley M. King, Sr. of the home, daughters and sons-in-law Martha and John Pritchett of Archdale and Gladys and Juan F. Lopez of Winston Salem; three step children, Wiley King, Jr. and Timmy John King both of High Point and Shelby King Smith of Ararat, VA; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Rosie Goad, Tiny Midkiff and Leona Freeman all of Fancy Gap, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Lannie Guynn also of Fancy Gap. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Guynn. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
