Josie Adeline Spence

                Mrs. Josie H. Spence, age 91, of Patrick Springs, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.  She was born on June 23, 1928 in Spray, North Carolina to the late Samuel Howell and Elva Hylton Howell.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Spence; one son, Larry Spence; one brother, Otis Howell; and two sisters, Gaynelle East and Lorene Fain.

                Mrs. Spence is survived by one daughter, Glenda Turner and husband, Ronald Mawhinney of Stuart; three grandsons, Adam Turner of Hoffman Estate, Illinois, Gregory Turner of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Dwain Spence of Ontario, Canada; three great-granddaughters; and one brother, Richard Howell of Floyd.
