Joyce Marie Mills

Mrs. Joyce Marie Parker Mills, 83, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville, Thursday, April 30, 2020.  She was born in Surry County July 24, 1936 to the late James and Minnie Slate Parker.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She always spoke with a soft voice and greeted you with a warm smile.  She will be forever remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tony Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby “B.J.” and Alexandria Mills; grandchildren, Shannon Shelton, Crystal Sexton Bobbitt, Nathan Mills, Nevin Mills; step grandchildren, Christy Robertson, Sharon Robertson, and Billy Robertson; great-grandchildren, Christina, Jaxen and step great-grandchildren, Madison, Kailee, Karissa and Elyssa; and a sister, Bessie Mills.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was preceded by her husband, Bobby A. Mills; a son, Richard “Ricky” Williamson; a sister, Ethel Phillips; and brothers, Jonathan, Grover, Herbert and Charles Parker.  Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at Indian Grove Community Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
