Juanita Jane Carter

Mrs. Juanita Jane Harper Carter, 87, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living.  She was born in Forsyth County to the late George Thomas and Margaret Gertrude Hauser Harper.  She retired from Mount Airy City Schools and was a member of North Main Church of Christ in Mt. Airy.  Mrs. Carter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Nanci Carter; grandchildren, Zac Carter and Carrigan Carter; a sister, Dora Conner and two brothers, Carl and Neal Harper.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, James Thurmond Carter, a daughter, Lisa Gae Carter; sisters, Pauline Harper, Alta Warner, and Hazel Sweet; brothers, Bill, Herbert, and Jim Harper.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Dennis Conner officiating.  Burial will follow at Warner’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Clemmons.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
