Juanita Murphy Puckett

Mrs. Juanita Murphy Puckett, age 94, of Mount Airy, passed away at the Woltz Hospice Home on March 14, 2023, surrounded by her family.  She was a devoted member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and lived a life of faith.  After retiring from Quality Mills and Russell Manufacturing, Mrs. Puckett enjoyed time with her family and volunteering for numerous years at Northern Regional Hospital and Yokefellow Food Pantry.  She and her husband, Raymond, enjoyed traveling all over the country.  Mrs. Puckett is survived by a son, Steve Puckett: daughters Pam Dickenson (Tom) and Melissa Belcher (Bill); sister, Phyllis Sapp; grandchildren, Todd Puckett, Elizabeth Peele, and Michelle Belcher.  In addition to her parents, Glenn and Cora Murphy, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Raymond Puckett; brothers, Ardell and Abby Murphy; and daughter-in-law, Paulette Puckett.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 17, 2023, with Rev. David Sechrist officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  A private burial service will follow the service.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017, in honor of Mrs. Puckett.
