Ms. Juanita Taylor Vernon 83 of Ararat, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.  Ms. Vernon was born in Santa Rosa County, Florida to the late Mr. Nada and Willie Estelle Carpenter Taylor.  Juanita was a loving mother, sister, and friend to all and will be deeply missed.  She was an avid Crimson Tide fan.  Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Jean Sharp and husband Jack of Camden, Alabama; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Rex Vernon and wife Tammy of Cana, Virginia, Charles Samuel Vernon and wife Lynn of Ararat, North Carolina; grandchildren, Heidi Sharp, Jacob Vernon, Garret Vernon and wife Nicole, Kelly Vernon Martin and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Rowen Kate Vernon, Harper Martin and Jase Martin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Polly Taylor Henderson and husband Doyle, Frankie Taylor Grantham and husband Eric; several nieces and nephews; along with special friends, Linda Senter and Jack Kepley.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Vernon was preceded in death by infant twin brothers; a grandson, Jeremy Mims; great-grandson infant Dwaine Sharpe; and a sister, Raynell Barnhill.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Garret Vernon officiating.  The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for their passionate care and professionalism.  Moody Funeral Services, Inc. of Mount Airy is assisting the family.
