Judy Mae Childress

Mrs. Judy Mae Hensley Childress, 63, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Surry County on January 25, 1956 to Carrie Martin Hensley and the late Daniel Robert Hensley.  Mrs. Childress retired from Renfro and a faithful member of Faith and Gospel Church as long as her health permitted.  She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, William C. Childress, Jr.; daughters and son-in-law, Christa and Chris Pittman, and Rosa Childress Settle; her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Katilyn Childress; grandchildren, Charlie Marsh, Anna Marsh, Shane Pittman, Riley Hazelwood, Brody Childress, Bentley Settle, and Adalyn Childress; her brother, Michael Hensley.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Faith and Gospel Church with Rev. Alan Easter officiating.  Burial will follow at Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
