Judy Draughn Dollyhigh

Mrs. Judy Draughn Dollyhigh, 73, of Dobson, passed away Friday morning, February 16, 2024.  Mrs. Dollyhigh was born February 10, 1951, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Wade Gilbert and Verlie Marion Draughn.  Judy worked as an office administrator for many years at McCraw-Everhart Heating and Air Conditioning Company.  She retired in 1994, due to a degenerative back issue that caused her to retire.  Judy was married to Larry Ray Dollyhigh, Sr. for 42 years and was a lifelong member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.  She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ray and Shana Dollyhigh of Dobson, Shane Dollyhigh of Live Oak, FL, and Jarett and Tam Dollyhigh of Lipan, TX; four grandchildren, Savannah Dollyhigh of King, McKayla Dollyhigh of Galax, VA, and Skylar Dollyhigh and Luke Dollyhigh, both of Lipan, TX; and two sisters and a brother-in-in-law, Brenda and Bill Dollyhigh of Mount Airy and Norma Sprinkle of Elkin.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Dollyhigh, Sr.; three infant sisters; a brother, Wade Ricky Draughn; and a brother-in-law, Woodrow Craig Sprinkle.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Caleb S. Foust officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1022, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
