Judy Ann Marion

Mrs. Judy Ann Beasley Marion, age 63, of Cana, VA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2020.  She was born in Forsyth County, on March 26, 1957, one of thirteen children born to the late Rev. Silas George Beasley and Jessie Addie Goins Beasley.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years, Joel Edward Marion; her daughter, Shelly Ann Marion and friend Bob Barr; a son and daughter-in-law, Dallas and Anna Marion; a grandson, Elliot Edward Marion; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Janice and Roger Nelson, Teresa and Wade Cornett, Laura Catlin, and Becky and Donald Thompson; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Barbara Beasley; a special niece, Donna Marshall; and several other nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Jo Beasley Holt Puckett, Evelyn Ruth Beasley Yarbrough, Lottie Lee Beasley Crocker, and Glenda Beasley Hall; three brothers, Otis Henry Beasley, George Larry Beasley, and Michael “Mike” Silas Beasley; and a daughter-in-law, Samantha Marion.  Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings currently (COVID-19), a graveside service will be held at the Peoples Church on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Chad Crotts officiating.  With no formal visitation being held for Mrs. Marion, her body will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Service on Wednesday morning until time of the service.
