Judy Gail Pettus

Mrs. Judy Gail Pettus, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on September 20, 1942, to the late Elmer and Thira Evelyn Glass Norman. Mrs. Pettus was a loving mother and grandmother. She retired from the Surry County School System after many years of service and her love and care of children reflected in this. Mrs. Pettus is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Paula Pettus, Greg and Stephanie Pettus, and Jimmy and Dawn Pettus; grandchildren, Charlie Pettus and wife Abby, Brandie Pettus, Kobe Pettus, Camryn Pettus, Conrad Pettus, Sarah Pettus, Nathan Pettus, Rachel Pettus, and Jacob Pettus; great grandchildren, Dalton, Chase, and Emma; a sister Carolyn Steele; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Pamela Norman, and David and Kim Norman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pettus was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Charles Pettus; and a brother Ricky Norman. A graveside service will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
