Mrs. Judy Garland Tilley Stevens, age 70 of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Stevens was born in Surry County on January 25, 1954, to the late Aaron Tilley and Nellie Tucker Tilley Smith. Mrs. Stevens was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Surviving is her daughters and son-in-law, Angie Stevens Knott and Gray, Jennifer Stevens Tate; son and daughter-in-law, Rich Stevens and Nicole, grandchildren and spouses, Leslie Simpson and Logan, Andrew Knott and Madison, Garrett Stevens and Sarah, Natalie Stevens, Daisy Tate, Troy Tate, Kenzie Stevens, Asher Stevens; two great-grandchildren, Naomi Simpson, River Knott; several sisters and brothers; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Stevens; a son, John Junior Stevens; and a half brother, Jack Arrington. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Frank Harmon and Mr. Gray Knott officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Moody Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
